The article is devoted to highlighting the concept of time in psychoanalysis and the subject's experience of time. The author explores the topic of the subject's experience of time from the point of view of both the classical psychoanalytical approach and the dynamics of the transformation of mental matter offered to the psychoanalyst by the analysand during the session. The author, in order to understand how to think about time in psychoanalysis, traces how the views on this issue of Freud and his followers changed. The author emphasizes that it is important to create certain frames of the study of the concept of time in modern psychoanalysis, taking into account the expansion of the spectrum of the patients, the complication of clinical problems faced by today's psychoanalyst in your practice, especially during the war. To investigate this issue, the author turns to the author's vision, which enriched the transformational approach in modern psychoanalysis. Green, R. Perelberg, D. Anzier, D. Scarfon, K. Bronshtein. In the opinion of the author, the connection between the experience of time and the way of manifestation of the activity of the subject's drives is important. There are two ways in which drives become active: either drives are transformed into object representations, or they are discharged (which means a non-representational way). For example, the destructiveness of compulsive repetition manifests itself in the phenomenon of killing time, because the mental process seems to stop and its transformation becomes impossible. The author learns mechanism of the subject's temporality – the afterwardness phenomenon proposed by Freud, as well as its conceptual development proposed by R. Perelberg, who distinguishes descriptive and dynamic meanings of this phenomenon. From the perspective of modern psychoanalysis, we can outline the factors that contribute to the disorganization of temporality or prevent its integration into the psyche. An important factor is the subject's ability or inability to representative psychic activity. Sometimes this inability can approach mental emptiness, a desire to immobilize the object and deny any change. The next factor is the transference processes, which must take into account the heterochrony of time. Each of the meanings of temporality described in this article can be a manifestation of both constructive and destructive processes.
