Abstract

This text is a review of a collection of papers by the famous psychoanalyst D.W. Winnicott, which reveals the connection between his pediatric practice and psychoanalytic ideas. The article emphasizes that Winnicott in his work always combined clinical experience with children and the practice of observation with the formation of deep psychoanalytic theories. Several key works of Winnicott from this collection are analyzed, which correspond to two aspects of Winnicott’s creative activity: the understanding of pediatric practice from the point of view of psychoanalysis and the contribution to psychoanalytic science. The text aims to catalyze the reader’s interest in a deeper study of Winnicott’s ideas, emphasizing that his works allow us to trace the path from clinical objective observations to deep psychoanalytic hypotheses that have a significant impact on modern psychoanalytic practice and the practice of child development and family upbringing support.
