The article is devoted to the discussion of the psyche and the construction of its model of development and functioning in early ontogenesis. In particular, three spaces of the psyche are considered and correlated: the Sensual Space of Corporeality, the Space of the Desires of the Other, and the Semiotic Space. The logic, sign system, and content of each of these spaces are analyzed. The connections between the three spaces and their influence on each other are highlighted separately. New concepts, including “psychic umbilical cord,” “psychic placenta,” “semantic placenta,” “psychic connector,” and “psychic tunneling,” are defined and find their place in the structural model of the psyche. The role of the Other in the formation of psychic spaces is clarified. In particular, the function of the Other as a psychic placenta, the proto-ego of the infant, and the first egoseparations are highlighted. The connection between primary internal objects, ego-objects, and their derivatives with the reproduction of the first symbols is described. The mental dimensions, content, and form of the Semiotic space are discussed. Pathogenic nuclei are further studied and analyzed. Their influence on the curvature of the Semiotic space is substantiated and proven. Additionally, the transcendentally immanent nature of the Sensory space of corporeality and the Space of desires of the Other in relation to the Semiotic space is clarified. The role of mental gaps and their somatic counterparts in the formation of the psyche was considered. A separate part of the article was devoted to the discussion of the symbolic function and the film of reflection as protective tools against despair and the disintegration of the Self.
